Pinch valve with innovative sleeve liner - Shut-off and control of media in food processing and challenging applications

For many years, pinch valves from Schubert & Salzer Control Systems have proved to be superior when working with difficult media or under sterile conditions. In sizes ranging from DN 15 to DN 50, these valves have made it possible to reliably shut off and control fluids with granular and abrasive particles as well as viscous, pasty and aggressive media.

Motorised valve actuator with optimised precision and speed

Normally, control valves for use in process control circuits are equipped with pneumatic actuators. The advantages of this design are rapid positioning speed and high resolution of the valve position, both being prerequisites in achieving a satisfactory standard of control accuracy. However, in this case the power supply can be a cause of concern since electro-pneumatic positioners require instrument air which is sometimes difficult to provide.

Valves with Certificate of Conformity under EC 1935/2004

Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 of the European Parliament on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food has been in force for nearly 10 years. This and the so-called “plastics regulation” EU 10/2011 – supplementary to the GMP and FDA guidelines which are often more observed – govern precisely which materials may be used for this and how plant operators and component manufacturers must implement them. This regulation prescribes categorically that suppliers and manufacturers, including those of shut-off and control valves which come into contact with food, must confirm, in the form of a certificate of conformity, that this law is being observed. This certificate of conformity, only rarely required up to now by plant operators, is provided for many of Schubert & Salzer Control Systems’ series of valves.

Valves switch up to 4 times faster

The new high precision 4090 pneumatic volume booster from Schubert & Salzer Control Systems helps to amplify the air strength of the set point signal such that control valves – depending on nominal valve size – operate up to 4 times faster.

Indicator indicates more than just open or closed position

Seeing at a glance whether an important valve is open or closed can be crucial. Schubert & Salzer Control Systems has developed the 2040 digital position indicator to provide a totally unique on-site signalling unit. It uses a coloured light signal, visible from a distance, to show the open or closed position of a valve.
