Pinch valves
Pinch valves can be the ideal solution for contaminated or viscous media. Their lack of dead space also makes pinch valves suitable for the food industry where high hygienic-standards are necessary. The most hygienic method of blocking a media flow is when the valve does not come into contact with the medium at all.
This is how the endless tube pinch valve works. The medium is allowed to flow through a tube against which the valve presses under pneumatic force, or, as the case may be, releases. A stroke limitation system is incorporated to avoid overstressing the tube. Model 7073 pinch valves are produced in nominal sizes from DN 15 – DN 50 and have integral positioners.

The sliding gate valves are available in pneumatic, electro-pneumatic or digital versions. In the case of the 7073 pinch valves, they can cope with difficult to highly aggressive media or even powdery substances with equal ease. The bodies of these pinch valves consist of brass, or they are chrome-plated (unaffected by media). The shaped tubes of pinch valves of this type are made in either EPDM, FKM (Viton) or NBR. Numerous option accessories are available for the 7073 pinch valves, including limit switches, caps made in brass, stainless steel or plastic, and a silicon-free version. The endless pinch-finish as a special for pinch valves, isolates the pinch to the valve and suites for specific applications. Options like the stainless steel-cap optimize these valves for the respective requirement.
